a Amazon OTP: Using a Virtual Number for Amazon Verification
Amazon sends a one-time password (OTP) when you create an account, sign in from a new device or change security settings. A virtual number from the marketplace's country lets you open a buyer account there.
Buyers need the number for sign-in and delivery alerts. Sellers go through regular security checks, so a one-time number isn't enough for a Seller Central account.
