Hushed Review 2026: Is It Legit?
Our verdict
A subscription app that gives you a second US, Canadian or UK number for calls and texts.
Best for: A permanent second number with calling.
Pros
- Permanent number with calls
- Works like a normal phone app
Cons
- Subscription rather than pay-per-code
- VoIP numbers fail on strict platforms
What is Hushed
Hushed is a second-number app with numbers from 300+ area codes, mainly in the US and Canada. It reports 25 million downloads.
How it works and what it costs
Plans start at $6.99. You get calls and texts over Wi-Fi or mobile data, voicemail, auto-replies and call forwarding. The numbers are VoIP, so many apps refuse them for verification.
Who it's for
Hushed fits people who want a second number they can call from and keep for months. For one-off verification codes, an SMS activation service is cheaper and more reliable.
