Create a Gmail Account Without Your Phone Number
Google may ask for a phone number when you create a Gmail account, verify a YouTube channel or log in from a new device. A virtual number lets you set up a work or test account without your personal SIM.
Google limits how many accounts one phone number can verify, and it often refuses numbers that were used too many times. That's why "this phone number cannot be used for verification" is one of the most searched Gmail errors.
